The Divine Design event, an unforgettable chapter in the story of Virgil Abloh, Vous Church, and Art Basel, metamorphosed a blank canvas into a symbol of human potential and the divine connection within art and design. Through an interplay of words, visual assets, and poignant quotes, a tale of artistic transcendence unfolded, leaving an indelible mark on the worlds of art, faith, and fashion.

”A WORK IN PROGRESS“
In collaboration with the entire Vous Church team, the solution was the creation of the "Divine Design" event, a space that encapsulated the idea that humans are "a work in progress" and shared a wall with the massive Louis Vousitton art installation for Art Basel. This symbolic connection was vital. The chessboard in the vicinity, a symbol of God playing chess while humans play checkers, added layers of significance.
SYMBOLISM AND DESIGN
The Divine Design event was not just about art; it was a celebration of the interplay between divinity and creativity. Even the elevator design itself acted as a portal to another world. Guests would step into a bright yellow space and emerge into a cloud-like environment, complete with soundscapes to immerse them further. It was more than just a photo opportunity; it was a journey to a higher plane of existence. Upstairs transformed the experience yet again, offering a lounge and dining space that felt like an escape to another dimension.

The Divine Design event successfully merged art, spirituality, and design, providing attendees with a unique experience. Its proximity to Virgil Abloh's Louis Vuitton show emphasized the interconnectedness of these worlds.
